Aeolus PCX6600-DV256D2

Users of the company’s Aeolus 6600 PCI Express VGA card can download the new VGA driver from AOpen’s web site. An SLI (Scalable Link Interface) VGA card allows a user to install two SLI-compatible PCI Express graphic display cards to a PC built with PCI Express bus architecture.

The new driver is offered to accelerate the graphic display performance of a PC installed with two Aeolus 6600 series PCI Express VGA card, according to Jonathan Yen, channel manager of AOpen.

The key features of the new VGA software driver include:

*No need for special diagnostic.
*Utilize the latest NVIDIA driver version 77.72 (End-users can download it from AOpen web site to refresh his on-hand card.)
*No need to use High-speed bridge.
*No special BIOS needed.
*Only valid for GeForce 6600 series PCI Express card.
*Need to use nForce4-based motherboards which support the SLI technology.

Aeolus 6600 series PCI Express VGA card is built with an NVIDIA graphics processing unit (GPU) which is designed with a breakthrough NVIDIA 3D platform technology.

Computer enthusiasts and professionals are constantly looking for ways to

enhance the performance of their PCs. And now Aeolus 6600 series PCI Express VGA card and the NVIDIA 3D platform technology can fulfill consumers’ pursuit for performance.

NVIDIAR SLI technology is a revolutionary approach to scalability and increased performance. SLI takes advantage of the increased bandwidth of the PCI Express bus architecture, and features hardware and software innovations within NVIDIA GPUs and its MCPs (media and communications processors). Together the NVIDIA SLI patent-pending technologies work seamlessly to deliver heart-pounding PC performance. And depending on the application, NVIDIA SLI can significantly enhance the performance of a single GPU configuration for unparalleled gaming experiences.

NVIDIA SLI GPUs deliver powerful, elegant and super-rich graphics for games and other graphics-intensive applications. Combining two SLI-certified graphics cards in a single system allows you to substantially enhance your graphics performance. SLI-certified GPUs feature dedicated, built-in SLI hardware. Connected by the SLI connector, each GPU has a maximized connection pathway, and can leverage the second card for reaching top-speed performances on a single display. Professional users can also take advantage of SLI technology on dual NVIDIA Quadro GPUs to span an OpenGL window across multiple displays. Unlike previous dual-card solutions, NVIDIA SLI can output in both digital and analog formats for the highest image quality.

SLI Motherboards

NVIDIA SLI-certified motherboards include NVIDIA MCPs and are designed to deliver the highest levels of performance in PCI Express, multi-GPU platforms. Additionally, NVIDIA nForce SLI-certified motherboards balance the bandwidth from the PCI Express bus architecture between both GPUs for over-the-top graphics, great speed, and scaled performance.

How it Works

An NVIDIA SLI system includes a PCI Express motherboard that supports two physical connectors that are capable of having two NVIDIA-based PCI Express graphics cards plugged into them. Joined by the NVIDIA SLI connector, the two graphics cards power one monitor, delivering earth-shattering PC performance.
